Stick It comes from the same stable as Bring It On, but with a little bit of street attitude.
Haley Graham, a rebellious teen, takes things too far and is landed with a choice; juvenile detention or gymnastics.
She choses gymnastics, mainly due to her belief that she can just breeze through. You see Haley has a history, and its one that she’s gonna have an uphill battle to overcome.
A few years back she walked out of the finals of the World Champs causing Team America to be disqualified.
Now she has to get back in with some of the same girls under the same trainer.
Of course this teen flick is predictable as anything, but it’s surprisingly not just about forgiveness and acceptance, it has a slightly deeper theme; standing up for what you believe in.
I won’t spill the beans and ruin the movie for you, suffice to say that the movie has some great lessons for young girls to empower them and help them feel good about what they do in life.
Food for thought:
If rules have been corrupted, who should make new ones?
Rent or Buy?
Depends, if you have young teen daughters, buy it, if not, rent it.
